Brant Rumberger, 21, of Hyannis, has moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where he will work on a piece of the international scientific collaboration known as CERN. Rumberger, who is a undergraduate student at Northeastern University, will be working on the Compact Muon Solenoid, a detector on the Large Hadron Collider that is used to search for the “God particle,” extra dimensions and particles that make up dark matter.
