  • Northeastern is changing education after graduation with its Level Program

    BostInno - 01/11/2016

“We’re all part of a team at Northeastern that’s organized to develop new ventures on behalf of the school,” Nick Ducoff, Level Founding Director and Northeastern’s Vice President of New Ventures, explained.

According to Ducoff, he and his team looked at the innovation landscape and took a note from General Assembly’s book. Skill bootcamps are becoming increasingly prevalent with good reason, and Ducoff knew that Northeastern could and should get in on the trend. Earlier this year, Northeastern launched its Level program, a 8-week bootcamp that teaches students core analytics skills.

Analytics was a deliberate first pick in terms of subject areas. It’s a hot field right now. Companies – no matter which stage of growth or sector they’re in – are looking to hire professionals with analytics skills so they can make more educated business decisions. So Northeastern hopes to help students learn coveted and highly marketable skills through this program.
