  • Mobilizing to protest social inequalities and racism

    WGBH - 12/16/2014

Marches, protests and demonstrations…we’ve seen them all in the last few weeks, and angry citizens continue to express outrage and dis-satisfaction with grand jury decisions in Ferguson, Missouri and New York City.

Dr. Sarah Jackson, Assistant Professor of Communication Studies  at Northeastern University says, “we can likely expect to see much of what we’ve already seen, a diverse group of people standing together and mobilizing to draw attention to the wider scope of social and institutional inequalities that are indicative of the two grand jury decisions.”
