  • Meet the two new members of the Dorm Room Fund’s student investment team

    BostInno - 01/26/2015

The Dorm Room Fund Boston is welcoming students back to campus by welcoming two new members to its investment team: Eric Sung, a first-year MBA student at Harvard Business School, and Kate Murdock, a sophomore studying at Northeastern University.

Over the last year, the student-run investment arm of First Round Capital has poured $20,000 and mentorship into the likes of: MIT-spun indoor food-growing system Grove Labs, which secured $2.05 million in May 2014; SolarRoute, a startup founded by a Tufts senior who’s trying to bring solar solutions “the last mile” in Nicaragua; and Harvard-bornLovePop, a 3D greeting card company that raised more than $23,000 on Kickstarter before the holidays.
