  • Kendall Coyne breaks Northeastern women’s hockey scoring record

    The Boston Globe - 01/10/2016

Kendall Coyne set Northeastern’s record for career points with a hat trick as part of a 4-point day as the No. 8 Huskies (17-4-1, 12-2-0 Hockey East) completed a weekend sweep of the University of New Hampshire with a 5-2 victory on Sunday afternoon at the Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H.

Coyne, a senior, passed Hilary Witt (Class of 2000) as the program’s all-time leader in points with her second goal of the day early in the third period.

Coyne then tacked on an assist and an empty-net goal to reach 211 points. The hat trick was the 11th of Coyne’s career.
