  • Incognito gets NFL second chance in Buffalo with Rex Ryan

    Bloomberg - 02/10/2015

Incognito was suspended for the final eight games of the 2013 NFL season amid allegations he bullied and harassed fellow Dolphins lineman Jonathan Martin. An independent investigation released in February 2014 found that Incognito and two other teammates, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey, persistently taunted Martin and an athletic trainer with racial, sexual and homophobic slurs. Incognito went unsigned this past season even though he was reinstated by the NFL in August.

“We live in a society that largely, and should be, in many respects defined by redemption,” said Dan Lebowitz, executive director of the Center for the Study of Sport in Society at Northeastern University in Boston. “He did pay a penance in much the same way that Michael Vick did.”
