  • ‘Green’ your spending with eco-friendly cards

    Yahoo! Finance - 04/22/2015

Before you pick a card based on the cause it claims to support, “read the fine print,” says Coleen Pantalone, an associate professor of finance at Northeastern University. “Don’t get swept away by the ad.” You may find you’re better off choosing another card — or forgoing a green credit card altogether and contributing directly to the organization of your choice, she says. “If you direct the money yourself, you have more control over where it goes rather than relying on a bank to make that choice for you.”
