  • D.C. transit cop held in probe of ISIS link

    Boston Herald - 08/04/2016

Northeastern University security expert Max Abrahms said, “The Islamic State likes to target places of transportation like trains and airports, and clearly in the nation’s capital this would be a particularly juicy target.”

Federal agents yesterday arrested Nicholas Young, 36 — a resident of Fairfax, Va., and a sworn police officer of the Washington Metropolitan Transportation Authority since 2013 — charging him with attempting to support ISIS for buying $245 in gift cards for an undercover law enforcement official whom he believed to be working with the ruthless terror group.

He faces 20 years in prison
if convicted.
