  • Boston Herald: Northeastern’s hopes high for NCAA Tournament

    Boston Herald - 03/16/2015

The news bulletin from CBS screamed out of the loudspeakers at 6:04 last evening, and that’s when Northeastern University’s Cabot Center got so loud that if there was anything going on down the street at Symphony Hall, it would have been just too bad.

It was official: The Huskies, getting their first taste of March Madness since 1991, are a No. 14 seed and will take on No. 3 Notre Dame in Pittsburgh on Thursday. And after such a long wait, it was only natural for everyone to scream, to shout, to wave, to cry, to hug someone . . . and, yes, to begin texting everybody on the planet.
