    AUDIO: Has the mass shooting in Newtown, Connecticut sounded the alarm that as a country we need to think long and hard about our relationship with guns and our culture of violence?

    Our guest, Northeastern University criminologist Jack Levin, says that as horrific as this recent mass shooting is, we also need to remember the nearly 12,000 single-victim mur­ders that happen in the US every year. Murders that are per­pe­trated with hand­guns.
