‘Show the world that you do matter’
With colorful tassels, cords, hoods, and stoles standing out against their dark caps and gowns, students gathered in-person for one last time at the John D. O’Bryant African American Institute’s annual Baccalaureate ceremonies. Joseph E. Aoun, president of Northeastern, noted their ‘magnificent achievement’ amid racial strife and challenging times, at an event marked with a sense of mutual appreciation between the institute, the university, and the graduates.
