Photo by Alyssa Stone/Northeastern University Dear Northeastern University community, As the 2022-23 school year comes to a close, I wanted to give you an update on the Snell Library Renovation Project. We appreciate your continued patience throughout this renovation and encourage you to visit the Northeastern University Spaces page to learn about additional study spaces across the Boston campus, which may be especially helpful during final exams. The renovation of the 4th floor is expected to be completed in the beginning of the fall semester and it will reopen for usage at that time. You can expect many new features and spaces, including: individual and group study spaces reservable study rooms single-person pods for phone and video calls a glass-enclosed quiet study room improved acoustic dampening Renovation on the lower level is also expected to be completed in the fall semester, providing: new and expanded space for Archives and Special Collections on-site access to high-use print books increased study space reservable group study rooms Once the 4th floor is completed in the fall, work will progress to the 3rd floor and that area will be closed. In addition, renovation work will also begin on the 1st floor this summer and will be completed in sections. Access to certain areas of the 1st floor will be affected and you can visit the Snell Library Renovation page to get the latest news.
