This week truly felt like the start of winter weather at Northeastern’s Boston campus. Icicles were hanging from classroom windows and office buildings while students were seen making snowmen. Earlier in the week, the city of Boston came together to celebrate “The Embrace,” a new bronze statue on the Boston Common commemorating King and his wife, surrounded by the names of 69 Boston civil rights leaders—including the namesake of Northeastern’s African American Institute.
