This week: Get your sustainability on

You might know the Trash2Treasure student organization from the wildly popular yard sales it hosts at the beginning of each semester. Students line up hours in advance to buy all kinds of items that their peers previously donated during move-out periods. It’s all in the name of sustainability and reducing waste.

Now, Trash2Treasure is branching out. Beginning Monday, the student group is hosting a weeklong slate of events designed to inspire discussions, raise greater awareness about sustainability, and highlight environmentally focused initiatives taking places across campus. T2T is collaborating with a number of other offices and student groups to host the scheduled events and film screenings.

“Trash2Treasure is known for our sale events, and this is a way for us to expand on that and get out of our comfort zone,” said Trash2Treasure President Sally Kramer, E’19. “This is a week of educational programs for students to highlight opportunities to take steps to be more environmentally conscious in their everyday lives.”
