Northeastern rowers prep for Head of the Charles Regatta

The Head of the Charles, one of the world’s foremost rowing events, is this weekend. The event attracts more than 11,000 athletes—including Northeastern alumni, current varsity rowers, and future Northeastern student-athletes—as well as hundreds of thousands of spectators to the banks of the Charles River for the prestigious annual event.

At this year’s regatta, the Northeastern men’s team will have entries in four events, while the women’s team will have entries in three events. Several alumni boats will also compete throughout the weekend. Check GoNU.com for a complete list of Northeastern entries and race times.

Our photographer joined the Northeastern varsity teams early Friday morning for their final practice before the big day. Here are some photos capturing the action.
