Thursday night at the Curry Student Center will be packed with fun, games, and discovery, as Northeastern hosts its annual showcase for students to learn more about all the student center has to offer. And did we mention there will be food, prizes, and a Patriots pre-game party?

The annual Night at the Curry Student Center event—which runs from 7 to 9 p.m.—is open to all students and has been significantly expanded this year. “It’s going to be bigger and better this year than ever before,” said Becky Lindley, an associate director in the Center for Student Involvement.

The Center for Student Involvement will also be taking over Northeastern’s Snapchat account, NortheasternU, during the event.

The center is home to many student organizations as well as a range of offices providing a variety of student services. All of them will have their doors open late on Thursday for students to explore.

On the ground floor, the university bookstore will be offering a 25 percent off flash sale on Northeastern apparel. There will be free food at Campus Crossroads and music courtesy of the student radio station, WRBB 104.9 FM. NUPD will also be on hand to provide information about campus safety and other services it offers. In Afterhours, Northeastern’s improv comedy troupe, Improv Asylum, will host a show.

On the first floor, the Curry indoor quad will feature a variety of activities, including more free food and cool giveaways—from bamboo plants to letter art—with which students can decorate their rooms. A few Northeastern a cappella groups will also be performing in the indoor quad.

On the second floor, the ballroom will host a pre-game party for the New England Patriots season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs. Patriots TV coverage will be shown on a big screen, and the party will also feature lawn games such as cornhole and super-sized versions of Jenga and chess. There will also be hip-hop workshops in the dance studios.

The third floor will host a Social Justice Mixer and an NU Pride Mixer. On the fourth floor, the game room will hold billiards and ping pong tournaments with prizes, and there will also be a relaxing yoga session in room 440.
