Northeastern welcomes university’s new students

Campus leaders for­mally greeted Northeastern’s incoming freshmen and transfer stu­dents at the President’s Con­vo­ca­tion on Tuesday morning, urging them to chart their own paths.

Let me take a selfie


New stu­dents kicked off the fall semester with a series of North­eastern tra­di­tions on Sept. 8, from the President’s Con­vo­ca­tion and Taste of Boston recep­tion to the latest craze—selfies with Pres­i­dent Aoun. Here, we share a few of our favorite “selfie” moments.

Fall fun in the sun

Thousands of Northeastern students packed the campus quads on Monday for Fall Fest ’15, an annual festival celebrating the start of the new semester with music, food, dance performances, games, and giveaways. The campus-wide event also showcased the university’s more than 300 student-run clubs and organizations.

The Trash2Treasure program allows students to buy gently-used items, donated by other students, at a sale during Welcome Week.

nuSERVES kicks off fall semester with community service

Last week, dozens of new stu­dents par­tic­i­pated in Northeastern’s annual nuSERVES pro­gram, which gave stu­dents the chance to vol­un­teer in the com­mu­nity even before taking their first class.
