Kesha, Rae Sremmurd to headline Springfest concert

What do Kesha, Rae Sremmurd, and Atlas Genius have in common? They’ll all be performing at this year’s Springfest on April 8.

Atlas Genius will open for Kesha and the Creepies and Rae Sremmurd, who will co-headline the show at Matthews Arena. The lineup, announced on Friday at Northeastern’s Relay for Life event, was chosen based on a student poll conducted earlier this year. Tickets go on sale through myNEU on Wednesday, March 29, at 9 p.m.

“Students are at the center of this; they’re involved from start to finish,” said Jason Campbell-Foster, assistant dean of Student Affairs.

The broad range of musical genres presented at this year’s concert—from rock to hip hop to pop—will whet the appetite of any music fan.

The concert caps off a week of festivities sponsored by the Council for University Programs, including an interactive “Escape the Room” game on Sunday, April 2 in the Curry Student Center; a concert by Wet+Overcoats on Monday, April 3 in AfterHOURS; a standup routine by former Daily Show correspondent Jessica Williams on Tuesday, April 4 in Blackman Auditorium; a presentation by YouTube star and filmmaker Casey Neistat on Wednesday, April 5 also in Blackman; and SpringFestival on Thursday, April 6 in the Snell Library Quad.
